Cobra Micromill

The cobra micromill is an example of several mills, all made by the same company and available through a number of vendors throughout the world. As far as I know the only thing that distinguishes this version from many of the others is the extended table travel. I bought it for a couple of reasons. First, it was all I could afford, Second, it was as big as I could fit in. Third, it looked ideal for a CNC conversion. Well, two years later, it is still running in manual mode.

I find it very useful but still lust after a larger and more solid mill. All the bits needed to convert to CNC are hanging around but I have put off doing it in the vague hope that I can magic up enough money to buy a larger mill and convert that. One day. Perhaps.
